The Tri-Axis Truss Press

• 100% nail plate embedment on the assembly table

• Single or dual hydraulic pressing cylinder capability

• Pressing cylinders of 7” diameter with 50 ton pressing capability or 8” diameter with 63 ton pressing capability

• A high/low hydraulic system providing low pressure for standard truss plates and high pressure for difficult or larger plates

• Presses 2x or 4x trusses without any adjustments

• Pressure evenly applied via a 16” x 20” platen (pressing surface) eliminating the ‘banana’ effect sometimes caused by rollers

• Vertical pressing assuring true alignment of the truss plate and wooden truss members, no lateral forces such as those associated with roller gantries

• Standard gantry throat widths from 12 to 16 feet

• The ability to store tools, materials and supplies on the working surface without impeding press operation

• Easily expandable with additional tables

• Operate more than one gantry on one table system

• Hydraulically Positioned Pressing Cylinder

• Hydraulic All-Wheel Direct Drive System

• A patented joystick single point control to allow fast, efficient, movement of the pressing cylinder to any point on the table

• Positive safety stops

• Ease of maintenance

SIZE: The Tri-Axis Press is available in standard table widths of 12, 14, 15 and 16 feet. We will build custom widths to fit your needs.

SPACE REQUIREMENTS: Minimum ceiling height = 10 feet. Minimum width = assembly surface plus 4 feet. Min/Max length = your custom assembly length in 4 foot increments.

DIMENSIONS: Overall dimensions of the traveling gantry are: Length = 17 feet 9 inches (for standard 14 feet throat). Width = 6 feet 9 inches. Height = 8 feet.

ELECTRIC: Hydraulic pump motor: 20 hp, 60Hz, 3 ph, wired for 208, 220 or 480 VAC.

SAFETY: Safety bars run full length of the gantry and operator’s platform. Contact with a Safety Bar disengages all power. The valve package ram settings allow all hydraulic motors to be started and stopped in smooth, safe, controlled, manner.

PERFORMANCE: Gantry travel: up to 3.6 feet per second. Cylinder (transverse) travel: 3 feet per second. Hydraulic cylinder cycle time: 3 seconds.

JOYSTICK: Patented JOYSTICK allows the operator to be in full view and full control of all functions from one central location.
